Trata-se de uma separata factícia da parte referente a esta viagem incluída no 2º volume da famosa compilação seiscentista de viagens feita pelos editores Anscham e Churchill. É a primeira tradução para inglês desta importante relação da estadia do autor durante nove anos no Brasil conquistado pelos Holandeses, seguida da descrição de outras viagens que o autor fez ao Oriente. É do maior interesse e importância para a história do Brasil. O texto é composto a duas colunas e vem acompanhado de bonitas figuras.

Meia-encadernação de pele, recente. A este exemplar faltam além do retrato do autor e do frontispício gravado, todas as gravuras impressas em separado, mas está completo do texto e com todas as figuras intercaladas no texto.
